There is nothing wrong with rocking out a smokey eye during the day. Who says it has to be VERY natural. What is night time extreme to one might be day time to another. I've rimmed the eye two ways so you can see the difference in using a light colour and a deep colour. Neither (on me) opened or shrank the eye - but everyones eye is different. I think its really important with a smoky eye not to go to extreme with brows. I think the more natural the better otherwise it can look very contrived.
